Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces that pursuant to Variation Order 2025-Q-013, the lobster fishery in Area 22 will open on May 3, 2025, at 05:00 (ADT).

The fishing season will end on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 23:59 (ADT).

Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces the opening of the 2025 lobster fishing season in zones 15 and 16 according to the following dates:

Area 15: From May 19 to August 10, 2025

Area 16 and Sub-area 18I : From May 12 to August 3rd, 2025

Please note that the season will start at 5:00 a.m. on opening day and end at 11:59 p.m. on closing day for all sub-areas.

This Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) for snow crab applies to the Area 13 snow crab fishing licence holders from Quebec and Newfoundland & Labrador Regions.

SUBJECT: Opening of the area 13 snow crab fishery

Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces the opening date of the 2025 snow crab fishing season in area 13. Two fishing season options will be available, at the choice of the license holder:

•Option 1: May 1 to August 6, 2025
•Option 2: May 8 to August 13, 2025

Please note that the season will open at 4:30 a.m. (EDT).

Gaspé – April 24, 2025

Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces the opening of the lobster fishery for for sub-areas 20A2 to 20B8 from April 26 to July 3 2025.

Please note that the season starts at 4h30 AM for all sub-zones.

The management measures set out in the Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP), approved on April 19, 2023, are renewed.

This Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) for Lobster applies to the licence holders from the Magdalen Islands fleet when fishing lobster in Lobster Fishing Area 22 in 2025.

2. Fishing Areas

Subject to any Variation Order and based on valid Conditions of licence, the authorized fishing area is Lobster Fishing Area 22, a coastal area surrounding the Magdalen Islands.
