Comittee for the Advancement of Indigenous Employment

Since February 2021, we have had the opportunity to work in collaboration with the First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Québec (FNHRDCQ).
Together, we ensure that our practices are adapted so that our recruitment processes and workplace environment are culturally appropriate and safe. We promote a welcoming and secure work environment. We also integrate the recognition of First Peoples’ history and rights into our work.
A personalized onboarding pathway and a mentorship will be offered to you with a colleague who can answer your questions and help you learn the ins and outs of your new role.
DFO has had the great honour of receiving the Karáhkwa recognition, from the FNHRDCQ, a program that highlights employers who collaborate in creating inclusive and culturally safe work environments for Indigenous colleagues.
