Onboarding of the electronic logbook – New fleets for the 2023 season

Fisheries and oceans Canada - Quebec region wishes to inform commercial fisheries stakeholders that the electronic logbook (ELOG) will be made available to the following fleets for the 2023 season as long as it is a qualified application:

  • Snow crab - areas 12C, 13 (Quebec), 14, 15 and 16A
  • Lobster – areas 15, 16, 17A et 18
  • Rock crab – all areas

It is important to remember that the use of the ELOG is optional during the first year of implementation for a given fleet. This first year of use is important for validating new systems, so we encourage fish harvesters to take this opportunity to experience the ELOG.

We invite fish harvesters to consult this page on a regular basis since new applications should be qualified in early 2023.
