SUBJECT: OPENING OF THE FISHING SEASON FOR CAPELIN WEIR FISHERY IN AREA 4Tp

Quebec – March 27, 2023

Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces the opening of the capelin weir fishery in subdivision 4Tp, which will be effective on April 1, 2023.

Management measures regarding this fishery are described in the 2023 Conservation Harvesting Plan for capelin in areas 15 and 16 (divisions 4ST), approved on March 24, 2023 and available online:
