Application
This Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) applies fleets that are licensed to fish for snow crab in areas 12A, 12C, 14, 15, 16, 16A and 17.
CONSERVATION HARVESTING PLAN SCALLOP – AREA 20 – MAGDALEN ISLANDS FLEET SEASON 2024-2025

1. Application
This Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) for Scallop applies to the Scallop licence holders from the Magdalen Islands fleet when fishing in the Scallop fishing area 20. The CHP is in place for the 2024 and 2025 fishing seasons.
2. Fishing Areas
Subject to any Variation Order and based on valid Conditions of licence, the authorized fishing area is Scallop fishing area 20, a coastal area surrounding the Magdalen Islands.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) – Quebec Region announces the distribution of Areas 12 and 12F snow crab allocation for the Magdalen Islands lobster fleet for the 2025 fishing season.
The snow crab allocation for Area 22 lobster fishers is divided between the two representative associations as follow: 66.6% to the Rassemblement des pêcheurs et pêcheuses des côtes des Iles (RPPCI) and 33.3% to the Association of Inshore fisherman (the INSHORE).

1. Application
This Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) for Atlantic razor clams, Atlantic surf clams and Stimpson’s surf clams applies to the licence holders of the Magdalen Islands fleet when conducting fishing activities in Area No. 5 with a hydraulic dredge. This CHP will be in effect in 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Quebec Region informs you that the renewal of harp seal and grey seal fishing (hunting) licences in zones 17, 18 and 19 will now be made before January 31st and the licence will be valid until January 31st of the following year.
For the year 2025, fish harvesters (hunters) will receive their licence renewal before January 31, 2025 and, after payment of the invoice, it will be valid until January 31, 2026.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) - Quebec Region announces that those interested in participating in the Regional lobster knowledge and development plan can now apply for exploratory lobster fishing licences in Lobster Fishing Area 17.
In addition to the licences to be allocated to First Nations, DFO plans to issue a maximum of 18 exploratory lobster fishing licences in sub-area 17A, each giving access to 125 traps as of 2025 (Appendix 1).
