Note 1: Holders of IQ mobile-gear fishing licences can replace vessels less than 50’ with vessels of a maximum length of 49’11’’ regardless of cubic volume. However, for competitive fisheries, relevant restrictions based on historical catches may be applied following discussions with the fleets concerned.  To date, no agreement has been reached.

Note 2: Holders of IQ mobile-gear fishing licences can replace vessels less than 65’ with vessels of a maximum length between 50’ and 64’11’’ regardless of cubic volume. However, for competitive fisheries, relevant restrictions based on historical catches may be applied following discussions with the fleets concerned. To date, no agreement has been reached.

Note 3: Inshore crabbers in Area 12 are still subject to all inshore licensing policies for vessels less than 65 feet.
