Adaptive management: approach in which management measures are monitored, evaluated and adapted.
Endangered: species that are facing imminent extinction or extirpation.
Forage species: small animal species on which many predators are dependent.
Data Deficient: A wildlife species for which there is inadequate
information to make a direct, or indirect, assessment of its risk of extinction..
Sectoral working group: meetings between industry representatives, users and
non governmental organizations grouped by sector of activity or interest to discuss issues of concern to all parties without said parties necessarily possessing the same point of view.
Special Concern: species that is particularly sensitive to
human activities or natural events but is not an endangered or
threatened species.
Threatened: species likely to become endangered if
limiting factors are not reversed.
Vulnerable: species that are of special concern because of characteristics that make them particularly sensitive to human activities or natural events, but that are not endangered, nor at risk of extirpation.
