This document constitutes the standard protocol used when sampling commercial catches of marine fishes and invertebrates in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The forms, codes and protocols are described for sea sampling as well as for port sampling. This document is intended for organisms used for the acquisition of marine species biological data. These data, among others, are used to assess the exploitable potential of marine populations upon which the commercial fishing quotas are based.
